The first Cantata in Canada was held in Hamilton. It was not easy to make a promote the show without a representative in a new city. We introduced the performance directly to the citizens, and they were willing to take part in publicity.
Hamilton is exceptionally conservative and famous for its religiosity. The cantata concert hall was full of people, and the citizens appraised it as the best performance with a true sense of Christmas that they had forgotten.
"I was happy all through the show. I was able to fill in my heart with the things I had forgotten, except for a special day of the year." (Colette Parket)
"The opera performance of the first act is the most memorable. I also learned the meaning of God's love and Christmas by listening to the message" (Ian Locker)
"I'm a church music director. Handel's "Messiah" was incredibly perfect. It was a fantastic performance." (Lucy Taylor)
